I directed this excerpt of Passage for a final project in my Directing class. It is immensely special to me and the first project that allowed me to truly step into my artistry as a director. This work was life changing and creatively-defining for me, and everything that I have made since is touched by what I learned from directing this piece. It is here that I felt tapped into a higher calling, a life’s purpose, to uplift the work of artists of color around me and to strive forth into the world, bursting with something to say.
