Puddle came into my life right off of the heels of Side by Side. I found myself suddenly whisked away into this whirlwind week of working on this wonderfully funny, sweet, and gay play written by the immensely talented Chloe Selavka, who I had been wanting to work with for some time. Chloe was incredibly trusting of me with her work, which was the greatest honor. An honor bolstered by the fact that the project had my lovely friend Yeshi attached as the assistant director! Yeshi and I had worked together previously as actor and director, and it was a joy and a wonder to work alongside them as co-directors. Puddle was a great lesson in collaboration for me, one that I am so so proud of!

The team behind Sapphest (a play festival for Sapphic works written by Sapphic playwrights!) was so welcoming and supportive of our insane, clothes-strewn show, and it was a truly touching experience to be in the room with so many queer theatremakers.

Puddle is exactly the kind of work that I love to be a part of — Radically collaborative, scrappy (I mean, just look at our fantastic, no-budget set dressing), and QUEER!
